Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Charge 3 is about 18 months old.

HR was working quite well until last few days.

It is now intermittent at best.

Does not show on device or in phone app.

Yes, I have read the advice.

Yes, I have reset device.

Yes, HR detection is turned on.

Yes, it's on my wrist, where I've always been wearing it.

The green light flashes.

What _else_ might work please?

Hello @gpxmagic. Welcome to the community forums!

Thank you for the detailed information and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried prior to posting. At this time, I'd recommend performing a long restart to your Charge 3. Note that this is different than the basic restart and you can complete the long restart by following the instructions below:

  1. Connect the device to the charging cable.
  2. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds.
  3. The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration.
  4. The device turns off.
  5. The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur.
  6. Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  7. Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again.

Hope this helps.

Hi and thank you for this response. This is the nearest I can reliably obtain.

I find my experience slightly different from as described.

1. Connect device to charging cable. Sometimes a clock face appears, sometimes a battery.

2. Wait for display to blank

3. Press and hold button.

4. After 7 or 8 seconds, a smiley face appears. Occasionally, there is a progress bar for about two seconds.

5. After a further 7 or 8 seconds, the clock face appears.

6. When exactly should I release the button?

7. When can I finally remove it from the holder?

Various combinations tried, none made any difference.

@gpxmagic Thank you for your reply.

I appreciate the information you provided and thanks for trying to resolve this matter. Regarding your questions, you should release the button once you notice that the device turns on and that it shows a battery icon, also, you can remove it from the charging cable after the progress bar completes.

Nevertheless, if this hasn't worked, I recommend contacting our Support Team for further assistance. Note that you can contact them through chat or over the phone, but phone wait times have been longer than normal, so I recommend initiating a chat. Click here to get connected.

See you around.
