I used my new Fitbit yesterday swimming for the first time swimming 2400 metres freestyle with one stop for less than a minute.....it took 54 mins.
However the stats showed I had swam only 1600 meters and it took 67 mins!

Best AnswerMy swims used to be recorded accurately, now they aren’t right at all. Looked at possible issues and restarted the device no joy!!!! Come on Fitbit get it sorted!

Best AnswerSuffering same inexplicable issues, heartbeat not recorded during swim and now thinks a swim is aerobic workout, all the more frustrating because when I first got my charge 3 is worked fine. It also only records half distance when I do open water swims.
My fitbit Charge3 isn't tracking my swims anymore. I do the same swim every time. 34 lengths of 25M pool without stops. It worked ok for the 1st 2 mo. of swims 3 days/week. Now it only tracks if I manually start & stop the swim in the exercise mode. Can I return it?

Best AnswerAgree with others. Charge 3 is junk for tracking swimming. I got this as a Xmas gift specifically so I could use it for lap swimming. First I find out that I have to use the exercise function and manually start and stop it, which is a pain when you swim outdoors and face is hard to read in the sun. But even when I do the manual start what is more frustrating is that my laps are undercounted EVERY time! Also the calorie count seems off- swim for 35 minutes and only 150 calories?? None of the suggestions apply to me (I don't stop in between laps or mid-lap, etc.) Very frustrating.
Also the sleep tracking is also off. It seems to say that I "wake up" when I get out of bed not when I'm lying in bed wide awake. Charge 3 definitely not worth the money. Unfortunately my husband bought it from FITBIT direct and I am past the 45 days.

I can't return my anymore, but I considering to buy a new one from a different brand... if you have any suggestions
