Hi,
My Charge 3 GPS has just started recording runs really inaccurately. My running pace is normally around 5'30" but a couple of weeks ago my Charge 3 recorded a 14km run in 1:09 (pace = 4'57"). After looking at the map generated, I estimated the run was actually around 12kms.
Last weekend I ran a route that I know is 5km, and my Fitbit recorded it as 6.26km. I then walked the exact same route, and the walk was recorded as 4.98km. Both times the map generated is accurate however the distance (and therefore pace) for the run was incorrect.
My Fitbit is only inaccurate with runs (hikes and walks are being recorded correctly), and this has only just started in the last couple of weeks. The maps are always accurate as well, it's just the distance that is wrong.
My stride length is set to auto in my account, I've tried deleting and reinstalling the app and I've reset my Fitbit.
Does anyone have any ideas of how improve the accuracy of the GPS for running?
Thanks,
Laura
