I've been wearing my chargec3 since Christmas & the screen has been fine. But yesterday I noticed it was much dimmer & I was struggling to read the screen. I checked the settings, if I changed it to Auto it was impossible to see. I have performed an 8 sec restart & still no joy.......

Welcome on board @Dodos69, it's nice to see you around here! Thanks for taking the time to restart your Charge 3. Nice way to go!
Since the restart did not work, I'd recommend to restart Charge 3 using the 15-second method:
If this doesn't work either, since your Charge 3 is still syncing please try changing your clock face (since this process needs to be done in the Fitbit app) and let me know if the screen brightness is back.
Looking forward to your reply!

I have the same issue with my charge 3 and am now at the point where im not wearing it as i cant read the screen when its bright/daylight. I have adjusted the settings but still rubbish. Been with Fitbit for a number of years and have to say i am really unhappy and considering leaving altogether now.
Any advice on how to improve the brightness?

This seems to be a common problem, after 8 months of use my screen has gone very dim.

None of the solutions work, the screen on my Charge 3 cannot be read, it's too dim.
How do I return it?

I’m having the same problem as everyone else. I got it in Jan (I think) and it was fine until a couple weeks ago. Now, in natural light, it’s completely useless. Inside, it’s barely visible. Switching between brightness settings hasn’t helped, at all, and neither have my attempts to perform the restarts you outlined. Please advise.

This is a very well known issue for Charge 3. I contacted customer support and rep said 'higher team' is working on this issue to resolve. I have used Fibit since the first generation and re-purchased 3 different Fitbits when they introduced newer devices. Now they said, because my device warranty expires they will offer 25% discount. The discounted price of Charge 3 is the same price that I can buy from Amazon. What does the disount mean? Or they can offer 40% discount for Versa Lite which is less popular one.
What a great service...

Ik kan ook mijn horloge niet meer lezen ineens. Ik heb de 15 sec gedaan maar er gebeurd niks. Ook de wijzerplaat veranderd maar ook niks. Je het weinig aan een horloge als je er niks vanaf kan lezen
Help me aub

The only solution is to insist on a replacement. None of the proposed solutions from Fitbit work to improve screen brightness.

It should be a "Product Recall" which so many customers faces the same issue.
