Charge 3 With No Cell Service

Hi All,

Every year I go on a trip to the mountains and do a ton of hiking. There is absolutely ZERO cell service out there except for one spot on the mountain that we stop at maybe 1 or 2 times in a 7 day span.  I just got my Charge 3 a few weeks ago. Will my Charge 3/ the app be able to track how far I hike, steps, heart rate, etc. without cellular service?

thanks!

Accepted Solutions

Yes it will

Most Fitbit devices record detailed minute-by-minute data for 7 days. (Fitbit Alta records minute-by-minute data for five days). Fitbit devices can store daily totals for up to 30 days.

If you have a Fitbit Surge, your device can store 35 hours of GPS data before deleting some data to make room for more.

But charging could be a close call.  If you will be near electricity, be sure to take along your charger.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
