I haven't been able to find anything about this elsewhere, on Google or in Forums, but just recently, my Charge 3 has started auto-detecting walks exactly at midnight each night. Sometimes it's marginal (a few minutes for a few calories, heart rate under zone) and I can just erase the activity without much of an overall impact on my day, but sometimes it's auto-recording this "exercise" (always heart rate under zone) for hours at a time, adding significant minutes and calories burned to my stats, and really screwing up the overall big picture. How can I fix this?
Thanks.
Jean

Hi @Weendaisy4, welcome to our Fitbit Community. I'm sorry to hear that your Charge 3 is auto-detecting exercise while you are sleeping. I totally understand how you feel about this since this impacts on your overall data.
Please restart your Charge 3 as described in this help article. After this, monitor your tracker during the next 24 hours and see if it stops auto-detecting exercise while you sleep.
Keep me posted on the outcome.

Thanks! I’ve been having this problem the last couple of days too. My heart rate resting shave been inaccurately high at some times too, but it’s inconsistent.
Unsure if it’s connected to an update.

Reset via the charging cable didn’t do it, it still tracked a minute of exercise at midnight again. I will try the reset via settings on the device before bed. But in case that doesn’t work, is there a plan B for tomorrow?

Hi JuanJo,
Thanks for your response. As noted above, I tried resetting the device via charging cable the day you posted, to no avail. It still auto-tracked exercise at midnight that night, Yesterday I tried a reset via Settings on the device itself, during the day once and then again shortly before midnight since I happened to be awake, also to no avail. Still auto-tracking "exercise" exactly at midnight. What next?
Thanks.
Jean

JuanJo,
Please see my responses below; the issue is still happening and I don't know what to do. Open a support ticket?
