Can you read it in a dark room?
If so go to settings and set the brightness to full are auto.

Let me help you with this. Additionally to checking the brightness level you can make sure that your tracker isn't in the Do not Disturb or Sleep mode by long pressing the button. This is if you can see the screen in a dark room.
