Charge 3 battery draining fast

I used my Fitbit Charge 3 for 6 months now and has been wearing it actively. All was good until yesterday, I charged the low batt Charge 3 to full and noticed that the RED Led lights was flickering thru the day which usually doesn't. Then middle of night I notice it is totally flat which normally doesn't happen as each charge can last for more than a week.  I charged the flat Charge 3 again in the morning and it took more than few hours to charge full this time (normally charge very quickly), then it drained flat  immediately within an hour. This time I left it for a few hours off to make sure there is a total 'reboot'; before I made another try to charge and again it became totally flat within less than 1/2 hour.  Can someone help to advise what is going on with my Charge 3?
