Charge 3 black screen

My charge 3 Fitbit has a black screen but it is still recording the information on my phone. I have tried to reboot as suggested but nothing is happening. You can hear that it’s trying to do something but the screen remains black. 
The screen did start to fade out a few weeks ago but I didn’t think anything of it. Have tried to send a detailed email to Fitbit but to no avail ! 
Any suggestions before I throw it in the bin And go over to Garmin

Meanwhile, you can try the following:

 

  1. Confirm the steps to restart the device: How do I restart my Fitbit device?
  2. Change a clock face: How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device?
  3. Long restart:  
  • Connect the device to the charging cable.
  • While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds.
  • The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration
  • The device turns off.
  • The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur.
  • Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  • Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again.

I have tried all these things and screen still black. Information is still registering on iPhone.

I do have the exact same issue. But now I have a dancing diamond and it will not do anything.  Support  times two said they would email help but at this time no email, no help, no fitbit.

I received a  notification today and its black screened since. Tried all the restarts. It's still recording everything just no information on screen. Tried changing clock face. This is my second charge 3. First one pixelated after a year.  I had a charge 2 and before that an alta and never had any issues this charge 3 has been nothing  but trouble
