Charge 3 blank screen

My screen won’t display anything and it is fully charge and the light is green. I rebooted it like it was recommended fir 8 seconds . But still nothing. Seem like lots of people are having the same problem lately. What is going on? Thank you for your time.

Hi @Valou2402, welcome to the Community Forums. I apologize for the late response, due to recent events affecting our operations, we're taking longer to respond. I'm sorry to hear that your Charge 3's screen is still not responding after the restart you've already done.

I've seen you contacted our Support Team after posting here. Keep in mind that we may need more than 7 business days to respond, due to recent events affecting our operations. Stay tuned of your inbox to the email address associated with this account.

In the meantime, if you haven't done so yet, I'd recommend to perform a long restart by following the steps below:

  1. Connect the device to the charging cable.
  2. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds.
  3. The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration.
  4. The device turns off.
  5. The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur.
  6. Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  7. Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again

If the long restart doesn't work either, please check in your Fitbit app if your Charge 3 is still syncing. If so, change the clock face to a different one to see if this brings back the display. Don't worry if you cannot see anything on the display by now, this process is done through the Fitbit app.

We hope to get you back on track soon.

Hello,

I’ve been reading all your threads on blank screens. I’ve been using the Charge 3 since Dec 2019 with no problems until today. Last night was the first time I let my Fitbit loose all power  (I forgot the charger at home). So when I got home, I just popped it in the charger, but in the morning, the screen was blank. And yes, I made sure everything was lining up between the back of the watch and the charger.

The app is telling me it’s fully charged and logging steps. I’ve done the 15 seconds hold and popped it in and out of the charger. The smiley face will appear but still no display. I’ve also tried changing the display through the Fitbit app but this has also done nothing. Where’s my misstep?

I have the same problem. Started out with white lines and display off center. Done all the restarts and changing the clock, nothing is working. It is still tracking but the screen is completely blank. Never had problems like this with my Charge 3 before, really frustrating. I even updated my app to make sure that wasn’t the problem.

I just found customer support through an online chat on the Fitbit site.  It was helpful.
Since I purchased through them directly not too long ago, they’re able to send me a replacement.
