Hi! I’ve had a blank screen now for several days. I’ve been following tips from this forum and have done:

- putting in charge/ taking on and off

- changing the clock face

- repeating the sequence several times

- deleting app

- syncing

-rebooting phone

All to no avail. Please help.

Hello. I am having the same problem. It started about a week ago. None of the suggestions worked. I was going to use the Fitbit Charge 3 without the screen (it still sent data to my phone/computer) but after I tried disconnecting and reconnecting the bluetooth connection with the device, I was not able to reconnect the device because I couldn't read the pin as the screen doesn't work. It still buzzes when I press the button and connect it to the charger and it shows up on my bluetooth on my phone, so I know it still works. How can I have this sent to support for further assistance?

Hi
I tweeted the support team and they were very responsive. Hopefully they’ll resolve the problem soon. They opened it up as a case for them to sort.

That is good to hear. I'm pleased to see that this is a common problem
popping up for many people. Hopefully it's just a software glitch. I don't
have a Twitter account so hopefully they read these old-fashioned community
posts! Lol.

This is happening to me too! It started about a week or so ago, and seems to line up with signing up for the premium trial. My Charge3 started having shorter battery life and some weird minor glitches right after the Charge4 came out and now this, all I can think is it's engineered obsoletion to get us to buy new ones. Was just told by customer service I can get a 25% off coupon for my next one as it's a year and a half old so right outside their warranty. If anyone has a fix to this it would be much appreciated! Also any suggestions for other brands of fitness trackers that will survive more than a year and a half of low impact activities would be appreciated too!

Edit: just checked the link Fitbit customer service sent me to get 25% off a new purchase since they won't do anything about my defective Fitbit charge3, as I was considering switching to the Inspire instead. Well, their "discount link" as a service to keep me as a customer will have me paying MORE for the Inspire or Inspire HR than if I just went to the website directly!!! It won't let me attach an image, but the Inspire is listed on fitbit.com as $49.95 right now as opposed to $52.46 on my 25% off link, and the Inspire HR is $69.95 on fitbit.com vs $74.96 on my 25% off link.

I don’t use twitter either, but this issue has been going on for ages in various iterations. It looks like if you had yours more than a year you’ll be doodled.

There is no hard reset without the screen so the device is a brick that records steps!

Been dealing with this for at least a month.
Why don’t Fitbit fix the software problem?

Mine neither

I have tried all recommended procedures to no avail. Why do you not respond to users problems (of which there appears to be many )

and answer our particular problem instead of just referring us to the forum. I am a qualified engineer who has spent decades solving problems, but this piece of kit is something else. I bought it in Jan this year and it has given problems from day one.

Can not alter lettering on face, Screen too dim, logs hundred or more steps when I have just got out of bed. exaggerates my distance

walked for a golf round by approx.100 per cent.

I am not impressed
