I was given a Charge 3 as a gift just under 2 years ago. It's been great, until about 6 weeks ago when the screen went blank. I reset it and after a few attempts it came back to life.
2 days ago, the screen has gone blank and although it is still tracking everything successfully (sleep / steps) and relaying messages (I can feel it vibrate) the screen hasn't come back on for me to see.
I have tried changing the clock and rebooting it with the charger according to the forum posts I've found, repeatedly to no avail.
Is there any way this is fixable? It's an expensive 2 year purchase if it needs replacing already...

I have done the exact same - I've rebooted it, change clock face. I even let it sit on my dresser for a couple months to let it completely discharge. I charged it again and still have the same issue. I can see the green light on the back, I can feel it vibrate, but the screen is totally black. I agree with you, it is a pretty hefty price tag for something I've had since June, 2019.
