My charge 3 screen is black

Mine went black too. I've checked and the device is up to date. All updates installed etc. Everything else seems to be working. Could it have something to do with a recent update perhaps? I have reverted to using an old Charge 2 which is fine. Can anyone help please? I can only read the seconds at the bottom of the screen. Thank you

Please restart your Fitbit devices as suggested here How do I restart my Fitbit device? If the restart doesn't work try to change your clock face. If this fixes the issue, you can change your clock face back to the original clock face.

There are 3 other threads all from last week with multiple users complaining about the screen going black on the Charge 3. I have reset my Charge 3 multiple times, disconnected and reconnected it, deleted the app and re-download in case an update wasn't showing and nothing is working. This is ridiculous and the Lucio or whatever his name is representative is blaming all of us. How can multiple people around the world have the same issue the same week and it not be from Fitbit?

Marre, as you can see from the multiple replies, we have all tried your suggestions with zero results.
This is frustrating and disappointing to us all. I have reverted to using an old Charge 2 with no problems.
I remember seeing a similar post earlier in the year and the advice them was to check for updates and restart the device.
My fitbit charge 3 was last updated in 2020 according to the information and is "up to date". I have rebooted it several times, stopped and restarted the app as well as uninstalling and reinstalling it. Nothing has helped, not even changing the clock face via the app.
I always understood that later models were supposed to be improved products. There are far too many complaints with regards to a black screen on the Charge 3 for me to even consider updating/upgrading my device, especially as the earlier model has no such problems.
I don't find the response from Fitbit to be sufficient or effective I'm afraid.

I've tried all of the suggestions and none have worked. I am using my daughters old Charge 2 and am letting the Charge 3 discharge totally. Will then try recharging it and starting up. Last ditch effort. Happy New Year by the way!

Tried all the above, screen remains blank. When updating the clock face, it does sync and lights flicker at the back, but still no screen.

Mine is exactly the same. Almost as if the screen/face itself is trying to light up but isn't able to.
I have now allowed the Fitbit to go completely dead and I'll try recharging it in a few days to see if that helps.

Hi on the 28 December spoke to Juan and he reset my fitbit but on trying to charge the device it went blank again. Called the 29 December and sent an email reference 47903780 and to date no response.
I don't want a new device all am asking is to get this one working, I have tried everything suggested and with no one responding to my email makes me very angry, I have the options you suggested but I don't see why everytime something goes wrong we need to purchase a new one.
This is my second fitbit 1st one stopped working a year before warranty was up. This one purchased 1 March 2020 and now blank screen since 12 December and no one can help. I am aware the warranty is up I am prepared to pay just give me the contact person so we can get the ball rolling.
I bought 2 more fitbits in October for my kids and this is a huge regret for me now due to the service and the lifespan of the watches.
I knew the warranty was 2years but the lifespan is ridiculous 2years or earlier.

When the first one gave me problems they were really professional, helped me get it started again, worked until the strap broke. Even then it was mind blowing that they could not fit a strap I had to purchase the 2nd 1 in March 2020 bearing in mind the fitbit was under warranty so for a strap I had to purchase a new watch.
The 2nd fitbit came with 2 straps and out of no where it stops working so maybe I should be greatful that I got an additional 9 months, they have sent a generic email with my options which is to purchase another, so I cannot say that I am optimistic that they going to do anything we all will have to invest in another device. Really sad though
