Hi Peggy Sue
I don't need a new strap. I have 2 spare ones. It's just my screen that's the problem. It's black and I can't read it at all.
I'm also in the UK so don't have Walmart locally

Mine is doing the same thing. Black screen, fully charged, will sync but nothing else. I have tried to reset it and nothing is working.

I'm having the same issue with a black screen on a Charge 4. I can't get mine past being charged. In fact, I never saw a smiley face, just full charge... then a blank screen forever. I've also gone through the troubleshooting checklist and tried uninstalling, restating, etc. My Fitbit was supposedly new in a sealed box and my phone is a Galaxy 22S Supra so there should be no problem with pairing. In fact, my phone was previously paired to a Charge 2 and everything worked wonderfully for years. Could it be that I did something wrong while trying to replace the Charge 2? Any help would be appreciated.

I've tried everything suggested by fitbit on my charge 3 and nothing either. I'm using the old charge 2 with a cracked screen and that's fine! I'm not impressed with the newer models I must say.
I think that fitbit needs to address these problems. I won't be getting another once my charge 2 dies!

Of Course, getting no response from Fitbit means Fitbit is over and out. Definitely.

Chatted with someone this morning who wanted
me to plug it in and reset it, AGAIN. I’m at work so that didn’t happen but I told her that I already did it and nothing is working. I got an email response that it wasn’t eligible for a replacement and to buy a new one. WTF?

Sounds about right from them. Mine is out of warranty too but I definitely won't be buying another fitbit. Not after this episode.
I'm not impressed with their service or backup.

I agree with you. They sent me a 35% off discount code. I told my husband I'd give them one last shot because with their end-of-year sale going the Charge 5 with the code would be $84. Nope. The discount code negates the sale and takes the Charge 5 back up to the $149 price point.
First, we can see this is a forced obsoletion since all of us had the same problem starting at the same time. Second, the company is so cheap it won't let you use its pathetic discount code on a sale item. I don't need Fitbit. There are plenty of other fitness trackers and apps that are user-friendly. So after 13 years of loyalty to this brand, I'm flipping the bird and leaving. I don't need or deserve the disrespect.
