My screen is completely black on my Charge 3 and won't sync to my app but it is charged to 100% any suggestions on how it can be fixed or if this is a sign to upgrade?

Hi Marre. The original poster may have been helped, but I can't access her answer.
My Charge 3 is about 3 years old. About 6 months ago, the screen would not respond in daylight. I could never read the time when I was outside. Inside at night it was OK. Now about 2 months ago, the screen is black the whole time. It doesn't show anything. The Fitbit is still working, it charges every night while I'm in the shower, and records my steps and sleep. (I don't care about any other things.) I can read the records on my phone and on my laptop. But I would like to have a watch that I can read day or night.
Is this deliberate wearing out so that I have to go and buy a new tracker?
Thanks for your help.

Seems odd things dont show on the scren of the fit bit but does on the app. I will never buy another one.. this seems fishy to get you to buy a newerversion. Everything is crooked

I'm having same issue w/mine. If I wear it, it tracks stuff to the app but can't see anything on the watch/tracker itself. Didn't want to spend a ton to upgrade so bought the cheap Amazon tracker for only $25 but I hate it. Its good for steps and watch/time only but can't figure out how to use it for any exercise or activity so now I really want to go back to Fitbit but $200 should last more than 3 years in my opinion! Would love to just get the Carge 3 fixed.

I have the same problem and mine is about 3 years old too, I have tried resetting, changing clock faces and all that stuff!! I’d like my watch to act like a watch!!!!!!!!!

I’m having the exact same issue! I did some research and have seen that some people say it’s the brightness on the watch that has become an issue. But I’m not sure and can’t seem to do anything about it. My steps etc are being tracked but it’s frustrating to not be able to use it as a watch.

Hi, please provide solution to issue that everyone is having including me. Is there a way of doing a hard reset on the device?
Thanks

My Charge 3 is doing the same thing. It started acting up yesterday (6/29). I really don’t want to spend another $200 to buy a new one when mine is only 1.5 year old. I can buy a less expensive brand from Amazon but really don’t want to because I absolutely love my watch. I’m bummed 🙁

I'm having the same issue as everyone else in this thread and I have tried restarting and resetting as mentioned in earlier threads as well as changing the clock face in the app. Nothing has worked to bring back the display. I could even hear it vibrate when I changed the clock face. It's still syncing and vibrating but screen still black. At one point while I was holding the button while it was plugged in I even saw the smilie face but the screen was still black after removing the charging cord.
So what do I do Fitbit customer support?

My Charge 3 does the same, totally black and yet fully charged, syncs totally to the app on my laptop and phone but cannot use it to tell time. I can't afford to get a new one and really don't want to wear a watch in addition to my Fitbit.

So eventually my screen came back on but it was almost unnoticed because it set itself to dim and essentially looked black. Looking up close I could barely see any text indoors but I managed to swipe the screen to settings to change the screen brightness and now it's generally working. However I have noticed the screen brightness is severely diminished even on normal and indoors. Just isn't as bright as it used to be. I feel like normal is now dim and dim is essentially black. I have to get up close to it in normal brightness to read it. Definitely wouldn't be able to see a **ahem** thing outside. Nothing lasts anymore despite the high costs!! Disappointed in that for sure.
