Charge 3 canceling exercise automatically

My Charge 3 is only a few weeks old and every time I start a run or walk the exercise app might run for a few minutes then it just cancels the exercise, or sometimes it might take 20 min. Doesn't seem to be any reason. Please advise.

Can you please tell me how are you logging your exercises? Are you selecting them directly from the tracker using GPS? In the meantime, I recommend taking a look at the help article How do I track my workouts with my Fitbit device?.

I have tried all the things recommended to fix the issue. It is still cancelling my exercises on my fit bit unit. sometimes it happens right away and other times after some time. Does not seem to be any consistency. Getting frustrated...

Worked okay this morning,  so as long as it continues to work,  I will be keeping the device.

The only way I got it to stop was I had to turn off the GPS on the workout. So far that has solved the problem.

Having the same issue. I'm wondering if once it realises the steps are counting the walking (at the same time) it turns off the walking so as not to duplicate things, but then why even have walking as an exercise on the Fitbit?
