Charge 3 charging difficulty

 I have a fitbit 3 and having trouble connecting the charger. I have  to play with it to get it to charge. I have the hole of changer cable  on the side  that you turn on the fitbit. I slide it up and down to make a connection but many times it does not work. Any ideas??
