Charge 3 charging issues

So I've only had my Charge 3 for a year and a half, and yesterday it died suddenly (there was still 70% battery life), and now when I plug it in to charge it, nothing happens. No vibrations to indicate it's charging, no light on the screen, smiley face, flashing green or red light, nothing. It just got really hot while trying to charge, so at that point I disconnected it. 

 

Has anyone had this happen to them? The charge 3 seems to be having a lot of glitches lately, but i can't even use it now.
