Since the firmware update which was also difficult for some reason, the watch and phone don't communicate ? Says it's paired & No problem with data, but clock face refuses to switch. It times out, says no internet, bluetooth connection when there is. Says watch isn't close when it's 6" away from it. Yes I reset. This is a replacement watch sent by Fitbit due to the accelerometer going whacky

Welcome to the Community Forums @middlechamber! Thanks for reporting to us about your Charge 3's behavior and when this started happening.
While reading your post I was wondering if the mobile device you're syncing with is included in our list of supported devices? You can see the list at: Which phones and tablets can I use with my Fitbit watch or tracker?
Please keep in mind that when a device is not supported we cannot guarantee its functionality with the Fitbit app. It might work at a certain time and then it can stop working out of nowhere after an update. This is because the app is not optimized to that device and any change could impact the performance.
If your device is compatible, but the issue persists. In order to solve this, please go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and remove the tracker. In the list of Bluetooth devices you'll see the Charge 3 and next to it, this symbol "!". Hit the symbol and it will take you to the next step, once you're there select the option that says "Forget this device" or "Unpair".
Once you've made sure about that, go back to the Fitbit app, go to the "Account" option in the upper right corner and select "Set up a Device". This should start the setup process for your device.
Please, also take a look at: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?
I'll be around if you need further assistance.

C'mon!
So what you're telling me is that when Fitbit makes changes to its firmware it isn't responsible for it operating properly as ADVERTISED!
What good are your products if one day you sell them working with a phone and the next day it wont! SERIOUSLY your company has no responsibility to make it operate AS ADVERTISED?
Wonder why you're losing market share?

Hi @middlechamber, thanks for coming back! Thank you for the thorough feedback for the Fitbit devices.
Fitbit has been designed to provide motivation and help you to reach your daily goals to success. Please know that we provide feedback to our team based on community posts and we are always working on improving our devices and overall environment based on that feedback.
However, this may happen when a mobile phone is not officially supported by the Fitbit app. Please verify that your phone is a supported device by checking this list.
As mentioned above, note that when a device is not supported we cannot guarantee its functionality with the Fitbit app. It might work at a certain time and then it can stop working out of nowhere after an update. This is because the app is not optimized to that device and any change could impact the performance.
If you do have a supported device, please follow the troubleshooting steps provided in the help article: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?
I'll be around if you have any questions present.

Wife and I both bought Charge 3's on the same day. My clock face could be changed, hers couldn't. Symptoms exactly as described above. Reading this post I realised that her phone is a Sony, mine is not.
Loaded the app on to a Microsoft Surface and linked her fitbit to that. Works perfectly, can change clock face now and sync easily.
I suspect (with no concrete proof) that the problem may lie with Sony, not fitbit. Try linking to a tablet/laptop instead.

Only thing is I've had both Charge3 & Sony for two yrs and everything was sync'd The Charge3 was replaced and that sync'd UNTIL FITBIT had an upgrade a couple of months ago

So has Fitbit now alienated everyone who doesn't have a smart phone? I bought a Charge 3 for my father for Christmas. He does not have a smart phone. While I can sync his Charge 3 on his pc (using a dongle) if I try to do anything to modify the tracker (ie change the clock face, apps, etc) I get the message to make sure the bluetooth is on. If Fitbit is choosing to ignore/abandon an aging generation who doesn't use a smart phone shame on you!

I'm wondering how some of you have jobs there, its like you say the same thing over and over with nothing ever solved,my 2and fitbit from you and there both refurbished and useless, you keep sending junk that you can't or won't fix just to shut your customers up,shame on this company it use to be one of the best, but like everything someone there thought they knew everything and did an update that ruined all the good work this company had before, and now they could care less about there customers, like I said 2and fitbit that you sent and not even 24hrs,and already same issues again thanks fitbit seen your stocks the bigger you are the harder you fall when you don't take care of your customers!!!!

Hi, I have this problem too. Stuck switching a clock face for months now. Did you ever hear back with a solution. Desperately need to change it as I can't see the current one it is too faint. Thanks 😊

It finally changed by itself. Support had no solution only flapping gums.
Problem today with any company thanks to technology all you get for customer support are forums to figure out their scewups.
But they will tell you they are went to the best colleges and have all sorts of degrees but they can't figure out products made by the company they work for.
