Charge 3 corrupted display

I have had my  charge 3 fitbit since feb and love it but this is my 3rd charge 3! I keep getting the same issue. My screen display fads to grey and touch screen does not seem to work properly.  The same issue would suggest that this is a defect with this model as it should not keep happening. I have been told that I can have a replacement but would prefer an upgrade to an other model, happy to pay the difference but have been told this is not an option. Is this true? I love Fitbit and the product but i really dont want another charge 3 as I believe I will have the same issue in 5/6 months. Help would be greatly appreciated.
