My charge 3 will not let me increase the brightness to a level I can see. Very dim display, unable to read. Any suggestions?

If it isn't sleep mode then sorry I cannot help. I tried all the reboots, cleaning the connections on the back before went onto chat. Everything was synching ok with mine..i just couldn't see anything on the watch. As soon as they explained what to do..it went bright straight away. It was difficult to see the sleep thing as the screen was so dim, it was more guess work than anything else. When I pressed the word sleep suddenly appeared bright. Went to clock face and that was also bright.

Pia....I don't see anything on the clock face except the steps, heart rate and the time. 😞

You swipe the face, can't remember if its up down or left...sorry....its not on the first page of the watch it's on the next screen. Not helped as I posted by the fact you can barely see what you are looking at, but its there.

We think that its the sleep mode turned on. Went on chat and was talked through it. Has to be be on the watch ace. 1st screen is the one with a clock on it. Swipe and you go to the screen behind it. If you can just make out the word sleep..press for a few seconds. If it comes brighter, so will your clock face.

We think sleep mode made be turned on. Swipe clock face. You should get to the screen behind. One of them is a moon...if you can see it. Press that screen for a couple of seconds. If it comes bright..problem solved.

Check if sleep mode is on. Swipe clock face to take you to the screen behind. If you can make out a moon, press screen for a couple of seconds..if it comes up bright..problem solved.

My Charge3 dimmed out a couple of days after the last update. Tried rebooting as listed in posts, then changed the clock face with no change in behavior. Cant read it outdoors now - this is less than 30 days old!

Hi,
I have a charge 3 and have horizontal and vertical lines in the screen. I've done the re-start process above but still have the lines.

Mine is hard to see as well. I can make out the time but the rest is so very dark. It also doesn't wake up when I turn my wrist to see the time anymore. The only time it gets bright is when I have just taken it off the charger, but it's only for a second. I thought it was my eyes starting to go bad but it seems more like it's my watch. I've also tried all the troubleshooting tips posted. I wish there was a Bright mode in addition to Normal, Auto, and Dim.

Hi @RicardoFitbit - this has been an ongoing problem since the last IOS update and is clearly a bug in the Fitbit app. Can you confirm whether Fitbit is working on a fix for this?

agree - impossible to read in daylight and for those with vision issues or who have aging eyes it's almost a game changer as you'll start to lose customers. The Charge 2 was actually decent for this - the Charge 3, a big design flaw.

All good now.
