Charge 3 display, battery and syncing issues

Status for my Charge 3:

The screen is black, the battery gets very hot when charging. When I put the Fitbit in for charge it is not showing anything. Normally it shows a battery and the % left in the battery. I have tried a normal reset - no response when I press the button, I have tried a long reset - no response when I press the button.

 

For the last 3-4 month there has been more and more problems synchronizing to my phone (Android). Normally I can 'work around' by uninstalling Fitbit on the phone and then reinstall. Last week for 6-7 days the battery got very very low during 1! day, from 100% in the morning to 15-17% in the evening.

 

And suddenly it was back to what I am used to, approx. 45% in the evening (no no, 5 or 7 days is NOT possible). So my Charge 3 is just dead .... any suggestions of what to do or is it just dead? I bought it when it was brand new, late 2018.
