I purchased a Fitbit in January 2019. It was great until August 2019 when the screen started showing vertical white streaks. Fitbit was great and sent me a replacement right away when they determined it couldn’t be fixed with a reboot.
I received a replacement in September 2019. It was great too until April 2020. Now there are black lines streaking through the white numbers and letters making it hard to read the screen. I phoned customer service and explained the situation and was told that they can only offer 40% off a newer product and will not offer a replacement for the defective product even though the replacement is less than 8 months old.
I was told replacements fall under the same warranty as the original product purchased. I could understand if I was looking for a replacement for The original product that was over a year old however the replacement is less than 8 months old. I’m a very discouraged about the product quality of Fitbit now that I’ve had two screen issues in less than a 12 month period.
I will not be purchasing other products from Fitbit based on the screen issues I’ve encountered. I’m very disappointed with Fitbit to say the least.
