I am wondering if any one has a solution? My Fitbit will go to the menu back to the clock by itself and it will do it for awhile it did it so much once that it died.

Immediately after completing the latest firmware update, my display also flickered, though I'm not sure that it did the same thing as yours. Mine blinks on and off, even though the screen wake is turned off. It just flickers for no reason. I contacted customer service and tried a couple restarts. I was told that my Fitbit is unfixable and was offered a "generous" 35% off to buy a new device. No thank you. Fitbit's firmware update has broken so many users' devices and their only solution is to have us buy more devices. Why would anyone buy from a company that refuses to take responsibility for their broken technology? Goodbye, Fitbit.
