My Fitbit Charge 3 was never very bright, but now I can't see anything not even in a darkened cupboard!  I have even tried using a magnifying glass to help me.

If your tracker's display is getting dim, I recommend restarting the unit by following the steps in the help article: How do I restart my Fitbit device?.
