My charge 3 started acting up last night. I woke up to it buzzing uncontrollably while switching between screens. I tried a hard reset, which rendered it completely dead so I let it charge overnight. I checked again later tonight, and the display wouldn’t light up despite me trying hard reset (holding the button for 8-12 seconds with and without the charging cable) in multiple ways discussed in previous forums. It started working suddenly for a minute, but when I tried to turn off “do not disturb” which was turned on during work the day before, the display stopped working again. The watch itself is still responding by vibrating when I press the button, but the display won’t turn on no matter what I do. I even changed the clock face before and after a hard reset attempt. I’ve had this watch for 2 years and it’s essentially unscathed, so I don’t think this is general wear and tear.

My Fitbit is only one year and a few days old and now useless. I've tried resetting from the Fitbit app but it wants 4 numbers and, since the screen is totally dead, I can't see any numbers so now it won't even link in to show me my steps on my phone. I see they are looking into the problem for newer models but not the Charge 3 which is already considered to be old. Built in obsolescence is one thing but after only 12 months is a total rip off.

I’m having this problem too. I got a very feint outline of the battery when charging but nothing now. I have also tried all the other suggestions to fix. This is less than 2 years old (Christmas present 2018) Not exactly what you would expect.

Having the same issues with my charge 3 - fitbit started buzzing unctrollably a few nights ago whilst I was trying to sleep. Now the screen is blank and won't turn on or sync. I've tried all reboot options. I've also tried to contact the support team twice via live chat and the chat boxes close if you even move a mouse or click on the open webpage. Now I can't even get in to speak to someone. Just not good enough. Interesting I've had mine 2 years too, like so many of you. Tried unlinking the device to re do it, but it wants 4 digit and of course I can't give this because the screen doesn't work.

Same. I’ve tried nearly every clock face and >10 restart attempts. Nothing.

I've tried to speak to customer service today and it has been shocking. They said my warranty isn't valid because I replaced this device in 2019, but I categorically did not do. So they basically don't believe me. This was on a support chat box. I've basically been left in the lurch. I won't be purchasing from this company again, the customer service is so so poor. They are more suspicious of people with broken devices than wanting to actually help.

This happened to my Charge 3 just two weeks ago. It started vibrating randomly as it switched between screens and it kept doing it even after a hard restart. It eventually killed the battery so I also tried letting it charge overnight. When it powered on the next day, it had horizontal lines through the display (though at least it had stopped vibrating). It then started to deplete the battery again really fast (it was down from 100% charge to 20% in less than a day) and was recording incorrect calorie counts and heart rate. Despite my best attempts to keep it charged, it finally died overnight about a week ago and it appears completely dead. I've tried following the suggestions on this FitBit page (https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1190.htm) but nothing works.
I'm very disappointed with this company because this is the second Charge 3 that has gone bad in two years. I was able to get it replaced last year (it had the same issue with the horizontal lines in the display and the rapid battery discharge) because it was still under warranty. However, I guess they don't warranty their replacement products because I was just told by a customer service representative that I will have to buy a new one. Guess I'll be buying a fitness tracker from another company because I no longer trust the quality of FitBit's products if I'm going to have to replace it every year for the same issues.

This happened to mine as well. I recharged it last night again and the screen finally came on but now the time is wrong and I have no idea how to adjust. Very frustrating!
