Charge 3 displaying a line

My charge 3 went blank and after charging would only display a smiley face.  Have put back on charge but now it only displays a horizontal line…. Any ideas how to get it working again? Been on charge all night.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @SLC100-1. I'm sorry to hear about the line that shows your Charge 3 display. 

Please try restarting your device in order to remove the line:

1. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
2. Clip the other end of the charging cable to the port on the back of the tracker. The pins on the charging cable must lock securely with the port.
3. Make sure the button on your tracker is aligned with the button opening on the charging cable. You’ll know the connection is secure when the tracker vibrates and you see a battery icon on your tracker’s display.
4. Press and hold the button to restart your tracker for 8 seconds. Release the button. When you see a smile icon and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.

I have done this and it is stuck on smiley face.  I have taken off charge and now it is blank and doing nothing, the button does not work.  It won’t turn on u less I charge it and then it is just stuck on smiley face.  Any other ideas would be appreciated thanks

If the lines are still on the screen, please perform a long restart with the following steps: Plug your device back into the charging cable and hold the button down for 15 seconds. The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration.
