Charge 3 does NOT sync/bluetooth

Disgusted. Charge 3 no longer syncs with iPhone bluetooth; I’ve tried all the suggested “solutions” none worked. Spoke to Fitbit - they know about the issue and asked me to be patient until a fix is developed. P.S. Nice to know Fitbit spent time editing my comments here, yet can’t find us all a solution.

The customer support team took me through all the steps to "fix" the app settings in my phone, we uninstalled/reinstalled the app, rebooted the fitbit (soft and hard), and the device will still not pair.  I finally got them to send me a replacement, but I had to threaten bad publicity to get the CS rep to listen to me!

Will not sync with iPad.  Waste of money. I am done with Fitbit and moving on to Apple products.

Email support. They are fast and efficient. I've been using fitbit for 4.5
years and I love mine.

Had to call too and will be calling again today as they fixed the sync issue but now I have 15528369781432024439340276646387.jpg

My Charge 3 has been syncing sporadically and most data doesn't transfer.  My phone is an LG G6.

Quite frustrated.

I have to restart it at least once per day to get it to sync.

It's a miracle, out of nowhere my fitbit started syncing today!!!

I have my Dashboard set up on my laptop.  Since we moved to this new campground on March 1 my Charge 3 will not sync.  Keep getting the pop up that says NO SIGNAL.  I was told I need a Dongle(???). I have internet, I have bluetooth - have looked into all the "suspects" - nothing seems to be wrong.  I can see the steps for the present day, but go back to yesterday it says ZERO and all the other days are ZERO!!  Does not do my sleep, either.

I have done all of the things suggested and it is still not working, it will sync the present day but then go back in the next day and everything has gone. Seriously considering ditching the Charge 3 now as it’s just not doing what it says it should.

I don’t synch too often so I hadn’t noticed. I did noticed that I could not do the update and was not receiving notifications on real time. Today I’ve tried all for the last hour to synchronize and update with no luck. Lastly I erased the app and reinstalled. Now, it won’t find the fitbit on my phone and a couple times has given me the code for the ipad but won’t pair after that. Bluetooth won’t find it on either device.

Hi @Eggbert and @Georgie1430! Totally understand where your concern is coming from. After your last post, I was wondering if your Charge 3 is syncing fine now? Please follow the steps at: Why won't my Fitbit device sync? Let me know how it goes! 

 

Hello @Cdn84, and @Jimbilly@Katec7, @Lisbar, and @trickstermac! In order to solve this, please go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and remove the tracker. In the list of Bluetooth devices you'll see the Ionic and next to it, this symbol "!". Hit the symbol and it will take you to the next step, once you're there select the option that says "Forget this device".

 

Once you've made sure about that, go back to the Fitbit app, go to the "Account" option in the upper right corner and select "Set up a Device". This should start the setup process for your device.

@MarreFitbit done that twice now. Fully setting up the tracker on its own all over again. Still doesn’t work hence why I’m here. What other suggestions do you have? Can I get a refund of purchase? It’s going into the third week now with no resolution and clearly you have a lot of people having the same issue. Can Fitbit come up with a fix already?

Same problem here. Today it wouldn't sync and I've wasted the whole afternoon trying to reconnect on iPad and iPhone. Nothing is happening. With no sync, I can't keep my stats up. Very discouraging.

 

Update: Mine wouldn't sync so I did the usual and eliminated the bluetooth connection to start again. Now it keeps trying to connect but doesn't. I've rebooted three times; turned the iPhone on and off three times; bluetooth on and off, etc. Also tried all of the above trying to connect to the iPad. it will not connect.

Thank you for the response, now NO my fit bit does not work yet, I got it at Christmas and it worked fine till about 2 weeks ago.

I have followed all of the advise on your web site (I found out it would sync only if I repeated the steps, then it sync once and at night I would repeat the whole process again)

Also as long as it does not sync it slowly loses time on the watch. Overnight it will lose about 35 mins.

Now I followed your advice to another and removed it from my Bluetooth list, and now it will not connect at all.

I restarted my phone and the Charge 3 but neither helped

Please help me I am not rich enough to spend the money on technology that does not work.

I wish I could help. Mine equally lost time, but I was able to correct it by placing it on the charger. This is SO frustrating!
