Charge 3 doubling steps randomly

My Charge 3 is doubling my steps randomly.  Just started this in September on a device about 14 months old.  Help!

I am sorry to hear your Charge 3 is doubling your steps randomly. Thanks for the details shared and I am here to help. I recommend restarting your tracker: How do I restart my Fitbit device?

 

Please note that sometimes, when you start walking, your steps may not update on your device right away. After about 10-15 continuous steps, you'll notice the steps catch up and start updating in real time with each step you take.
