I’ve gone into the help section on my Fitbit app on my iPhone and check for charge3 firmware it says new update but when you click continue it says unexpected error device up to date, I’ve tried on laptop and said the same update available then said it was updating after about 1 minute said device up to date. Is anyone else having this or is it my Fitbit charge 3 been silly?

I'm having a similar issue. I'm using an Android device. There is a red banner that tells me to Update Tracker Software. When I try to, it tells me it is searching for my FitBit but it can't find it...which is silly cause it is syncing on a regular basis. I've tried uninstalling the fitbit app, unpairing the fitbit from the app, rebooting, etc. While searching my fitbit displays: www.fitbit.com/setup.
Options to try:
1) keep the charge 3 nearby - it is next to it.
2) enable bluetooth - it's enabled
3) make sure you have an internet connection - yes
4) make sure your battery is charged. - yes
