Hi,
I have a fitbit Charge 3 that is paired with a Samsung Galaxy A8. Before configuring the Charge 3 with my phone I have used a Motorolla bluetooth hand-free car adapter for almost a year with no issue on the same phone.
Once I connected the Charge 3 to my phone and installed the application, the car adapter stopped to work properly. It will connect successufully but when I get a call and answer it with the bluetooth adapter the phone answers in speaker mode, not on the bluetooth adapter. The same happens when I place the call myself, it defaults to speaker mode, not the bluetooth, and I cannot force it to use bluettoth sound even if pressing the bluetooth button on the phone. I tried another bluetooth car adaprter from a completely different brand with the same results. This second adpter also had bluetooth stereo mode and no surprise I also cannot listen to music over bluetooth.
Last thing I tried is un-pairing the Charge 3 and uninstalling the fitbit app and it instantenously fixed the issue and bluetooth is back to full functionality. Re-installed fitbit and it stopped working again.
It seems I cannot find much information on this issue on the forum.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Have you checked your Bluetooth settings, I'm able to assign what I want each. Bluetooth device to handle.

I looked at the bluetooth settings as suggested and the bluetooth car adapter is definitely enabled to provide the call functionality but it does not work.
