Welcome on boad @Rocky101, it's nice to have a new member around! If your Charge 3 won't stop vibrating, I'd recommend restarting it by following these steps:

  1. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Clip the other end of the charging cable to the port on the back of the tracker. The pins on the charging cable must lock securely with the port.
  3. Make sure the button on your tracker is aligned with the button opening on the charging cable. You’ll know the connection is secure when the tracker vibrates and you see a battery icon on your tracker’s display.
  4. Press and hold the button on your tracker for 8 seconds. Release the button. When you see a smile icon and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.
  5. Unplug your tracker from the charging cable.

Hope this helps, let me know the outcome!

When I followed these directions a flat line appeared on my screen. I took it out of the charger and it displayed the happy face but it kept buzzing and flashing between the screen wake/Notifications screen and the clock which is the wrong date & time. It’s like it has a short in it or something.

I did this. First, it does nothing. It's fully charged. It just keeps vibrating displaying the different screens.. Cannot get it to stay on any screen long enough to clear the data or reset it.

Any other suggestions?

I did this. The white eine appearded and the happy face at the end, but it is still vibrating and my display is active all the time. Like I was touching it.

Can you please help?

I followed the instructions everyone gave. Trying the new clock face. I got on the tech board. I did the long reset. That seemed to work for about 10 hours and then it started vibrating again. I got on the chat with FitBit Tech Support they confirmed that I did the long reset and that it didn't work. They had me try again, it didn't work.

They said good news, we are going to send you a brand-new FitBit. And about a week later my brand-new FitBit showed up.

They said if it doesn't respond to the long reset after two times you need a new one. mine was still covered under the original manufacturer warranty. Square Trade would have covered it. But it was still under warranty. I did some more research and found that this happens if you do not take it off before you shower or take off and dry it when you're done. They also don't recommend swimming with it although swimming is one of the activities it tracks. If you do decide to swim with it. They say take it off right away and dry it. Take off both ends of the band and dry it.  what a pain in the neck.

I'm an IT Desktop Support Specialist. I bought and replaced the charging
cable. That fixed all the troubles I was having!

It also fixed the 2 Fitbit's that had been replaced for that same reason.
So now I have 3 Fitbit's that Work.

1st Original Fitbit: Kept vibrating, wouldn't charge was replaced by
Fitbit.
2nd Fitbit: A few months later, same issues. Replaced by Square trade.
3rd Fitbit: Arrived, put it on the charger. It would not come up.

**Must be the cable. I bought a new cable. It came right up and charged. I
wondered if the 2nd Fitbit might actually work if I put it on the new
charger. much to my surprise it did. As soon as I put it on the charger. It
vibrated and started charging up 🙂 when it is done. Wore it around for a
couple days and it worked just fine.

What are the odds that the original one could possibly still work. I got it
out and put it on the charger and it came right up and started charging.
It's been sitting in the drawer well over a year. It works! There doesn't
seem to be anything wrong with it.

Perhaps buying a new charging cable for your Fitbit might solve your
problems too.

i started experiencing this today, a few minutes ago. I'll check if it is the cable, as I have my husband's cable handy... (the reset did not fix the problem) and I do not know how to do the hard reset

the cable did not fix the problem. it seems that it is working but it vibrates randomly

I also did a hard reset by going into settings and doing a reboot. It stopped vibrating for about 40 mins and now it started again.

Greetings! Have you tried leaving it on the charger overnight? That just
fixed my friends Fitbit Charge 3.

no! I'll try that tonight. it now seems totally dead, but when it wakes, it
vibrates and runs through screens and then dims...

My charge 3 started doing this after I pulled it off the charger yesterday. Acting like something was touching the screen constantly but nothing was. I tried the 8 second restart as well as a 15 second restart multiple times and now all it will do is sit and vibrate. My phone can no longer see it to sync or update.  It occasionally will 15 second restart on it's own when on the charger.

Shamie, get ready for a new charge! I ended up calling service, we spent
may be 15 min on the phone (they had some fancy restart techniques I had
not seen in the list) after a while the person said that they needed to
consult someone. My warranty had expired jst 2 weeks earlier, but because I
was nice to them, I think, they gave me a 50% discount for a charge 4 OR a
free charge 3. I chose the Charge 4... I do not think this can be fixed 😞

Hey all.  By chance, when your Fitbit charge 3 was vibrating , did the green light on the back stay on?  Was there a feint green circle appear on the screen - looked like a tiny green exploding firework (best way to describe it)?  Mine started vibrating on my wrist after I charged it. then the above happened.  The green light kept flashing all night until my Fitbit lost charge the following day - because it ran the battery down (had been fully charged)
