I have a four year old Charge 3 which has served me well. This week though it seems to have knocked about 70,000 steps off my year so far total. I have been working my way up to an average 12,000 steps per day - no sooner had I achieved this last weekend, my average went down to about 11,750. Looking back over daily data I can see, especially in the first half of the year, many days have lost loads of steps - my minimum every day is 8,000, but some now record way lower than that. My app still tells me though that my 8,000 step a day is intact - 321 day streak. I was wondering if any others have had the same issue - my Fitbit has been a bit glitchy recently and I have seen other posts reflecting glitchiness though not specifically this. Help centre btw suggested I update from 4.29 to 4.30, though I’ve not been able to do this. Thanks!

I have lost daily heart data from the app since last weekend and I think it’s because of the 4.30 update.Did all the steps of rebooting/reinstalling device and app in an online chat with a Fitbit operator and it didn’t fix anything so they offered me 35% off a new device as my current device (Sense) is out of warranty . They are blaming the device but I don’t believe this to be the case ,it’s definitely the update/app imo TLDR: I wouldn’t update if I were you!

Hi. Thanks, that’s interesting to hear your experience too! I’ve also had a chat with an operator. He escalated it before emailing back a little later suggesting I force quit. I ended up deleting and reinstalling the app, but same problem still there. Will be emailing back the latest later today!

I have Versa 2, and lost about 106k steps from this year in the blink of an eye. I did not update the app, unless it did automatically, not sure. But very disappointing in any case.

I meant to update three weeks ago that my steps for the year were suddenly reinstated - don’t know whether the glitch sorted itself out on its own or whether the Fitbit people did something - but yesterday it went back to lost steps again - lots of holes in the first part of the year especially. Hopefully it’ll sort itself out again soon!
