My fitbit is losing time. When the battery died and I charged it up the time was corrected. But needless to say over the course of the day it started losing time again. I've rebooted it at least 20 times and it's still doing the same thing. Why is this happening?

Hi there @Poppit65, welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided about your Charge 3's behavior.
Keep in mind that your Charge 3 may be showing an incorrect time if it hasn't synced or if it has been unpaired from your account. Note that your Fitbit grabs the time of the device you're syncing with so it can update the time throughout the day. Have you checked that your Charge 3 is still linked to your Fitbit account and your phone's Bluetooth settings?
While reading your post I was wondering if the mobile device you're syncing with is included in our list of supported devices? You can see the list at: Which phones and tablets can I use with my Fitbit watch or tracker?
Please keep in mind that when a device is not supported we cannot guarantee its functionality with the Fitbit app. It might work at a certain time and then it can stop working out of nowhere after an update. This is because the app is not optimized to that device and any change could impact the performance. Besides the steps you've done, I'd suggest to take a look at: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?
If the time keeps showing incorrect after syncing your Charge 3, I recommend changing your timezone to a complete different one, sync your device, put the correct time and sync again. To change the time make sure you are following the instructions provided in the help article How do I change the time on my Fitbit device?
Thanks for your recommendation @SunsetRunner.
Give this a go and let me know the outcome.

Try a Long Restart:
CHARGE 3 LONG RESTART
Connect the device to the charging cable.
While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds.
The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration.
The device turns off.
The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur.
Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again.
