I found that my charge 4 has issues getting aligned in its charger, any misalignment will make it stop charging even if it starts charging briefly, also you want to clean the contacts on the charge 4 and its charger too, for me it seems to get better contact when hanging on the charger cable once aligned it stays better aligned that way, no idea why. I hope you can manage to get yours to charge. Also battery will be eaten very quickly if you use the built in gps on the charge 4, in the matter of hours, not days, so you may want to turn that off in the dashboard on the site here, and then sync those settings to the charge 4, I know a huge selling point for some was the GPS, but I think nearly all the huge selling points on the charge 4 work poorly and not like people expected, I hope this helps and that you have luck figuring out how to get your charge 4 to work. Also if none of this helps, reach out to support, as they may know better solutions.

Hi @KDELEX. Welcome to the Community Forums. @SunsetRunner Thanks for sharing your insights and suggestions.
@KDELEX I've moved your post to the Other Charge Trackers so you can receive more related responses about this situation. As @SunsetRunner mentioned, there are some factors that may prevent your Fitbit from charging correctly, such as using a third-party charging cable or if your tracker isn’t connected securely to the charging cable.
In addition to cleaning the gold contacts of your tracker and charging cable, I'd also recommend reconnecting your tracker to the charging cable making sure of the alignment and restarting your tracker to refresh its performance. Leave your device plugged in to the charging cable for at least 30 minutes and monitor its behavior.
