Charge 3 not getting GPS data from phone

I have a fitbit charge 3  which was purchased from John Lewis last November/December as a christmas present I emailed you in May as it deleloped a fault as I could not see the display eventually you replaced it for me, the replacement has developed a fault Since send end september (  I think) looking through excerise  it will not properly connect to GPS, I select walk - start the connecting goes round at the top but it will not connect, If I just press go my phone says its connected but its not, it will says ive done a mile but when synced the phone does no longer show my route like it used to.
Ive re booted watch
Done a full watch reset
Removed watch from bluetooth from phone and re added watch to phone as if new
removed app put it back
Still no luck 
now another lockdown with a watch which will not track my walks
Just getting fed up with it 
Please give me some advise as ive tried everthing possible

Sorry to hear that your Charge 3 isn't connecting to your phone to get GPS data from it and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. Start by checking the settings on your Charge 3 activity detection has GPS on. Also lets try refreshing the link between your phone and your tracker by doing the following:

 

  1. Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  2. Restart your phone and restart your device
  3. Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
  4. Also, on an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
