Fitbit Charge 3 doesn’t notify me of text messages or phone calls from my Galaxy S9.

I bought my charge 3 in October, text worked for a few days, since then nothing. Was on several times with support until they said it was a problem with Apple, I have done all the updates and still nothing, considering a new brand since Fitbit now seems to be ignoring the problem

Same here. My notifications have NEVER worked and Bluetooth doesn’t stay connected. Very frustrating! Fitbit needs to resolve this problem!!

This is in NO WAY a SOLVED SOLUTION if there are still people posting as recently as 3/20/19 on this issue! I myself just spent over half an hour on the phone with Customer Support and he had me do ALL the things I've done before, but to no avail.
In the past, Fitbit was always really good about sending me a replacement device whenever I had an unresolvable issue. Why is it different with the Charge 3? The MAIN REASON I purchase one was to have this notification feature. If it has never consistently worked (I've owned mine since last fall), why continue to sell them? A solution told to me today was "wait for the next release/update" Sorry, that is NOT acceptable! Garmin, here I come!!

I am very frustrated. When I do call, they act like they have no record of my call. In the past customer service was good. Now i can’t understand why they keep blowing this off. I have to reboot my Fitbit daily to get it to sync. What a waste

Thank you! After resetting Charger 3 several times, and following advice from first few requests for help, I found your entry. It worked immediately! I had bought a new phone and my Charger 3 was syncing steps, just not notifying me of texts or calls.

I have the S9 as well and all of a sudden I am not getting text and call notifications for the last few weeks. I have tried rebooting several times, added more permissions for phone calls but nothing! It's one of the features that I bought the charge 3 for. Please help!

I think I've fixed it. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I had to enable all my permissions again. I just received a call and that showed. I'm hoping this means my next text will work as well!

By far this is the most regretful purchase ever!
The Charge 3 is just a constant disappointment.
Issues I have are:
I have reset the phone and the fit bit
I have deleted the charge 3 from the fitbit app and added it again
I have restarted the fitbit
I have checked all the settings
Unpaired it and went through pairing it again
I am so over going through the cycle.

I bought this on Friday no notifications and to many steps to what I am doing first fit bit .I am not happy I don't want to start resetting my phone and messing about .instru instruare less than adequate

I have an iPhone 10X and a Charge3 special edition. I have tried all of the suggestions gone through all the different steps listed and can not get them to stay paired so I can get notifications on my Charge3. I have never gotten a notification of any type.

Just upgraded from Fitbit Charge HR, which I had for 4 years, to Fitbit Charge 3. So far it has been almost without issue. But I only get vibrations of notices of calls and messages. The original Fitbit Charge HR displayed the caller each time I received a call - I did expect the Fitbit Charge 3 to at least do this, rather than just vibrate and I have to tap it to see who is calling. Or have I just not realised that this wouldn't be the case? I have read through the forum, and not sure if I am expecting more than the device is capable of?

I just got the I phone 11, 2 camera not 3. I a, not getting calls or messages on my Fitbit Charge 3
I have removed and reinstalled my device on my phone 3 times, my phone does auto updates and still nothing.
