Charge 3 not syncing Heart Rate and Sleep data

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hey.

So I have this weird problem with my Charge 3 where steps data is being synced, but not sleep and heart rate data. Also, I can see heart rate data for a exercise period. For example if I have been walking for an hour and if I go in Exercise and click on the walking entry, it will show the heart rate along with all other data. But in the dedicated heart rate section, there is nothing.

I have tried restarting my Charge 3 and reinstalling the Fitbit app but the result has been the same,

Welcome on board @DipeshAggarwal, it's nice to see you around! Make sure that you're getting a solid heart rate reading , since sleep stages requires consistent HR. For best results, wear your device higher on your wrist (about 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone). The band should feel secure but not too tight. Also, double check that your watch is charged up.

Additionally, I'd recommend checking the following that could be preventing you from receiving sleep stages:

  • If you used the "Begin Sleep Now" option in the Fitbit app (instead of simply wearing your device to bed).
  • If you slept for less than 3 hours.

For more information about why you see your sleep pattern, tap or click the sleep record that shows your sleep pattern.

In addition, I think it's great that you update the Fitbit app to the latest version (iOS and Android). I always recommend keeping both the tracker and the Fitbit app up to date with the latest versions.

Also, try cleaning the contacts including using cotton with rubbing alcohol then charge it by plugging it for a couple of hours directly to your computer's USB port (try different ports) or use an UL listed USB wall adapter. After this restart your device once again and see how it behaves.

Keep me posted!

Same issue with mine not giving me heart rate info. It registers my heart rate but when I go into heart rate section of app there’s no info and the days aren’t clickable. This started a week ago.

I have taken all all the advice above and tried unpairing and repairing the device with my phone twice and that’s no working either. I’ve obly had this watch since Xmas day 2019. Is it just broken?

Please advise

Thanks.

For some reason the heart rate on my fitbit is also not syncing with the app too. It appeared for my most recent exercise today, but hasn't synced all day. I haven't been able to prompt it syncing.  Disconnected Bluetooth, restarted phone, turned off phone, reset data, closed the app etc. It's just not syncing for the day.

I'm having a similar issue as well. The heart rate monitoring is very intermittent but the sleep is not being monitored at all. I do struggle to sleep so being able to track it (when it first worked) was really beneficial but now it wont work. I've tried all steps advised online to get it to sync but nothing happens. I've just loosened the strap and after 5 minutes the heart rate started to match up. Even my calories over the last two days have gone back to the basic rate before I even tried wearing the FItBit. Any ideas on how to get the sleep to sync?

My Charge 3 also wouldn't sync heart rate and sleep data since a few days ago.  Number of steps etc were synced OK. I did the whole works of rebooting the watch, rebooting my smartphone and uninstalling and reinstalling the app. It worked for a day after that and uploaded two nights of sleep data. But now back to the same problem. I did the same things all over again except it doesn't work this time.

I contacted fitbit support on Twitter, they told me to go into the settings app on my actual fitbit and turn off the heart rate monitoring and restart my device. I just turned it off and turned it back on and it synced my heart rate from this morning. Still missing yesterday, but that appears to have helped me. I'll update if it stops... I found that I was missing steps on automatically tracked workouts from yesterday also, so I'm not sure what else might be going on with mine.

I followed all these steps, all the advice posted. Still not able  sync heart and sleep data for the last couple of days.  Very very annoying.
