Charge 3 not tracking sleep correctly

I rarely ever have issues with my sleep record.  Suddenly I have 2 nights with bad presentation.  No usual breakdown, you cannot change the total time no matter what you enter.  Is there an issue or change in process recently?

Hello @Mom2Jacob. It's nice to see you around.

Thank you for the information. At this time, I'd like to ask if you can provide more information about the inconvenience by responding to the questions below:

  • Is your Charge 3 not recording your entire sleep activity?
  • What do you mean by breakdown? Are you referring to your sleep score breakdown?
  • Are you receiving an error when you try to edit your sleep log?

If possible, it would be great if you can attach some screenshots showing the discrepancies so we can further look into this inconvenience and provide proper information. To learn about how to attach images, please check here

In the meantime, please review the following information about how Fitbit devices track sleep: How do I track my sleep with my Fitbit device? What should I know about Fitbit sleep stages?

I look forward to your response.

I'm having the same issue.  It's also not recorded health metrics since 6/25 and last night the sleep also went to simplified data with no change in how I wear it.  It's charged, I've restarted the device, I'm up-to-date on the software.  It just seems like the issues are starting to layer.

I’ll try rebooting the watch too

Now my notifications for steps has stopped.  What the heck is happening! I checked the dnd & sleep settings and they’re off.  When I set the vibrations, it does not play anything.  Previously when you set the vibration, the actual corresponding vibration plays.

I just noticed there was a Fitbit update on 6/24 so is it just a coincidence you started having issues since 6/25?

Hello @GroundControl06@Mom2Jacob. It's nice to see you around.

I'm sorry for any inconvenience and thank you for taking the time to report this matter. I'd like to let you know that there was an inconvenience affecting health metrics and sleep, but I think it should be resolved by now. If this is not the case, please let me know.

@Mom2Jacob For notifications, I recommend performing the troubleshooting steps suggested in this help article:

How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device?

I also recommend performing a long restart to your Fitbit device. For this, please follow the steps below:

  1. Connect the device to the charging cable.
  2. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds.
  3. The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration.
  4. The device turns off.
  5. The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur.
  6. Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  7. Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, I am so glad.  My past sleep issues seem to have been fixed.  I also noticed my watch was pretty snug on my arm..  I had changed the band the night of the 1st bad report.  It was still tight on the 2nd one too.  I loosened it and figured, after all sleep reports were good, that it was why.
But whatever did it, I’m so glad that appears to be over.
