Charge 3 not tracking sleep score

Hi,

I've had my Fitbit for about a week now and it’s only given me a sleep score twice. I have tried wearing it tighter and higher on my wrist and it hasn’t helped, I’ve tried swapping it from one wrist to the other and also hasn’t helped.

I always do begin sleep rather than wait for it to catch on and I make sure it has plenty of battery? What else could I do for it to work?

Thank you

Welcome to the Community, @Julia2000.

Thanks for troubleshooting this sleep issue. You must see sleep stages to see a sleep score. For more information, I recommend checking the help article: What should I know about sleep stages?.

If you see sleep stages but don’t see a sleep score:

  • Note that it may take a few minutes for your sleep score to appear.
  • Update the Fitbit app to the latest version. For instructions, check the article: About the Fitbit app.

Let me know the outcome. 🙂

Thanks for getting back, @Julia2000.

As mentioned, you need to make sure that your tracker is registering your sleep stages in order to provide you sleep score. Please try the following:

  • If you slept in a position that prevented your device from getting a consistent heart-rate reading or wore it too loosely. For best results, wear your device higher on your wrist (about 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone). The band should feel secure but not too tight.
  • If you used the Begin Sleep Now option in the Fitbit app (instead of simply wearing your device to bed). For more information on automatic sleep tracking, see How do I track my sleep?
  • If you slept for less than 3 hours.
  • If your device’s battery is critically low.

Keep me posted. 🙂

As I mentioned in my original post I have made sure my tracker is tight around my wrist and 2 fingers above the wrist, I always do begin sleep and it hasn’t tracked my sleep even when full charged, I haven’t had a sleep score for over a week now so it’s unlikely that I’ve slept in a position where it’s unable to track my sleep every night

I have rebooted my device and it now tracks my sleep.. and provides me with a sleep score again
