What do I have to do, sleep until noon until It registers 7 and  half hours of sleep? I go to bed at around 1 AM.

@Seanshah @Mrzocor Thank you for your reports. Nice to see you both around.

Do you see the simplified sleep records, or none at all?

The following conditions can prevent the recording of the sleep phases:

- You record your sleep using the app instead of the automatic sleep detection of the tracker.
- The tracker's battery is almost empty when you go to bed (below 25%). This prevents regular recording of the pulse.
- You use the metal bracelet while sleeping
- You sleep less than 3 hours.
- The bracelet is too loose or too tight on the wrist. You should be able to put your index finger between the bracelet and your arm without great resistance so that your pulse is recorded regularly and the sleep phases can be recognized.

What are the simplified sleep records? How do I change my start sleep time, and my awake time using the app. Been trying that forever, and it always says I can't. I have the app on Android Samsung.

@mrzocor1 Nice to see you back. The simplified records, are the one that only show you if you were asleep or awake, it doesn't show the sleep stages.

When trying to edit your sleep plan, do you receive an error message?

It just says it can't set that time., I don't even know if I am trying to set it in the right place or not. I click on the area where it gives the amount of sleep I had. for that night. The spot that has the little plus sign next to it.

@mrzocor1 Thank you for your reply.

It seems that you are on the right spot, if you followed these instructions. :

  1. Tap the Today tab

, then tap the sleep tile

    .
  2. Tap the gear icon in the top right.
  3. Set or edit your targets. To remove a target, tap the three dots in the top right.
  4. Tap Done.

Please try the following:

On your mobile device, please go to Settings>Apps>Fitbit App and clear cache.

On your Charge 3 go to settings, and turn the heart rate off.

Sync your Charge 3 ,and turn the heart rate on again and sync.

Try wearing the Charge 3 on the underside of your wrist, during your sleep. Here the heart rate can be tracked better.

Hope this helps

I have no idea how to get to any of those places. Are you talking the app, or the online dashboard? I have android.

None of those things apply to me and yet my tracker did not record my sleep last night. Is there anything I can do that would reset it and bring it back? It almost looks like it put last night’s data on Sunday night because the Sunday recorded hours are the hours I slept last night - is that possible?

Try wearing your Fitbit on the underside of your wrist. Are you serious? Like anyone is going to do that before bed. Not suppose be designed to have to do that.

@mrzocor1 Hi there.

To edit your start sleep time and awake time, follow the instructions mentioned above by using your Fitbit app in your Android phone. (Check the screenshot below)

download (46).png

Now to clear your app cache, you need to go into your phone Settings app and perform the steps described previously.

@DebCRobH Welcome back to the Fitbit Community. Thanks for the details shared.

Last night sleep data shouldn't be mixed up with Sunday's data. If your Charge 3 isn't tracking your sleep data at all, let's try restarting it and follow the tips mentioned here

Hope this helps.

I have an android tablet. Samsung. Does that make any difference? That is where it wouldn't let me change it. It keeps saying it can't complete the change, or something like that.

@mrzocor1 Thank you for getting back.

In this case, let's try the following steps:

- Log out from the Fitbit app

- Clear the app cache if you haven't done so

- Restart your phone

- Log back in and try to change it

May I know the app version you have installed on the tablet?

Hope this helps.
