Charge 3 not tracking steps

My 3rd day and now it did not record my steps

Mine is not correct either, stairs do not track accurately either,
Is there other bands for the Charge 3 as this one that came on it is
breaking out my arm.
Not sure I am satisfied with it at all. Thought about sending it back but
bought it at Kohls and I had to return one other as it did not work either
it was not the Charge 3 that was already returned.
Think it was the inspire HR.

I have tryed everything not got no internet doing on my phone it’s tracking everything else but not steps x

I have reset the Fitbit Charge 3 - three times and it still will not count my steps. I have followed the directions below.

I am sorry it does not work for you. Have you tried support from Fitbit? I
no longer use mine as I got wrist tedoniitis from wearing it all the time.
I loved it while I used it. I will ask to take me off of notifications as I
can't help anyone, I guess.

Same problem.  Sometimes it counts about 30% of my steps.  Very disappointed.  My Flex was much more accurate....and CHEAPER

Hi Marre,

 

I am also having a problem with my steps not counting on my charge 3. I bought it last week and it counted all other days but it is no longer counting steps and I have no idea why.

 

I followed your steps above and successfully restarted the device but it is still not counting the steps. Is there another way to resolve this issue?

Sent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone I noticed that sometimes mine doesn't look like it's counting but it catches up and they level loud during the day and I can tell that they are counting at that point as all of a sudden there's a lot of steps before that there was nothing or at least very few

Sorry I can't help as I stopped using my Fitbit. It aggravated a wrist
problem for me. Good luck.

My Charger 3 is not tracking my F.I.T. at all. It's showing steps but not anything else. I tried your reset, hoping it would help. It didn't. Any other ideas. And, yes, this is the first time this has happened. I have reset my Fitbit. Turned the app off. Reset the bluetooth. Turned my phone off and on. Sigh... HELP.

My charge 3 is the same and it won't let me reboot it either from the screen or using the charger. When trying the charger method it vibrates and shows battery charge but doesn't smile and reboot. And when trying from the screen it doesn't let me select the tick, screen goes back to clock face.

My charge 3 starts counting steps then takes them off again, I’ve restarted it, it then showed 4000+ steps but after a few seconds went back down to 600 then 300, I’ve only had it since 29may 2020

I called in and they said there was a known issue with this tracking and it was being worked at within Fitbit at the highest level.  My case number is 36169314.  Has that tracking issue been resolved.  You would track steps correctly with the Fitbit.  when you would sync it would initially show the correct number but when sync would complete - numbers would go down.  Mine Monday went from 17000 steps to 3400 steps.

Return this ASAP. Fitbit has been made aware of this issue for over a year... and they refuse to fix it!

Mine has been doing the same since Tuesday. Walked 32,000 steps and got credit for 20,000.  Seemed to wipe out blocks of hours of activity.  When I would re-boot the device and leave off Bluetooth the steps remained until re-sync.  It’s happened everyday until today.  Today is the first day of what appears normal since Tuesday.  And I have a case number and have been told only “10” people being affected and then next call, half the community is experiencing the issue.  I have been told all the steps will magically come back after an undisclosed update that has no due date.

I ended up returning it based on another reply I received and replaced it
with Fitbit Aspire hr, similar. So far so good.
Frustrating.

how do i make my fitbit charge 3 collect steps.

This Fitbit is totally defective. You need to return it and get something else!
