Hello
I’ve been swimming wearing my hr charge 3, which I’ve done many times before with no problem, but today whilst swimming it started frantically buzzing & the screen went blank. I came home & tried to reset by plugging in & holding the button.  A smiley face appears & then it looks ok until I unplug then it buzzes a lot, sh  oh wa a horizontal line & then goes blank again.  Please can you offer any help & advise to get it working again?
Thank you
Chris

Hi, @Chris5765 , it sounds like it got water in it.  Usually in this case it is not a good idea to plug it in until it is dried out, but you might still be able to revive it.  I would recommend putting it in a bag of rice for 3 days or longer and then giving it a charge and trying the restart again.  With luck, after a good dry out it will work again.  If it does, I would not swim with it again as the water resistance has been compromised.

I did try this & it sort of flickered on for a while but then went again, think if I’d have let it dry out first before charging it probably would have worked although still doesn’t explain why it’s packed in in the first place as meant to be waterproof

Thanks I got in touch with support via twitter & as it’s now out of warranty I was given a 35% off code.  I’ve now ordered a watch & definitely won’t be swimming in it once the warranty has expired, even though they’re meant to be waterproof

Thanks for getting back to us and for letting us know that you got in touch with support and you ordered a watch @Chris5765.

Fitbit watches are water-resistant to 50 meters.
