Hi, I have purchased my Charge 3 four months ago. I had no problems with the screen and the brightness as I left it on auto, it has always been clear regardless of the surroundings. However, after 4 months, it is now very dim that I can barely see anything when there is some light in my surroundings.
I have tried to restarting my Charge 3 several times but the screen still remains dim. How do I fix it?

Hello,
I'm also having the same issue. I bought this last December, even adjusting the settings and doing a hard reset. It is still dim. Help.

My Charge 3 screen has turned so dim that I can no longer see it at all. I have tried resetting the brightness level in a dark room but it didn’t work.
i have reset the device on the charger twice also?

I'm having issues as well. I set it to the brightest setting after the update, it reset itself. I can't really see my screen when I'm outside or in my car.

I have the same issue. Cant recall when it started but it is now useless as a running tracker as cant see my stats en route. I also had issue with this watch and counting floors which seems to be better than it was. All in all though the charge 3 is a poor product in my opinion.

It looks as though it is still an issue. I bought mine just a month ago and am having the same problems.

I got my Charge 3 in Feb '19 and it worked great up until sometime early this year. For me, it was a gradual degradation, and at first I thought it was just me - but a couple months ago it became very noticeable. Got online and saw a bunch of people were having this problem and that was when I realized it wasn't just me. However, of course, the warranty has expired, so my only recourse is to get another one (at a discount through Fitbit.com).
I just wanted to report this because I don't think this means it was a "bad batch" but instead a bad update. It seems many of you having the problem have purchased your devices recently and are having the same problem as mine which is over a year old.

This issue affects me to and I believe it has been a problem since the last update. My screen is so dim, I cannot read it unless I am in a darkened room. I have tried resetting to Normal and Auto from the settings feature but this does not last anytime at all and have also tried the hard boot which was described on this form. Nothing seems to work. It annoys me that FitBit is not offering a reasonable solution or replacement. I had to replace my last FitBit as it the clip no longer worked and wouldn’t be replaced by FitBit Clip. I am beginning to think I need to shop an alternative. I wear my FitBit Charge 3 everyday and expect a higher quality than this.

I have the same problem. Called Fitbit and they had me reset it. That didn't fix it. Said there was nothing else to try. They said my warranty was up (only by a month) and I had to buy a new one but they would give me a discount. Very cold and rude!!!! Made me want to get rid of my Fitbit. Make sure you call as soon as this problem occurs or your are **ahem** out of luck and have to buy something else!!!
