Just wondering if anybody else has had the drama of their charge 3 recording a ridiculous amount of steps after just putting it on or picking it up to look at it when not even wearing it? I put mine on this morning and it said that I had done over 25000 steps with having it on for about 30 seconds. Another time it was 17500. I've rebooted it and restarted it bit it still does it on and off.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @SW6385.
Thanks for trying to resolve the issue with extra steps recorded while sleeping that you’ve had with your Fitbit Charge 3.
If you placed your Fitbit device on a nightstand please check if there is any electrical appliance issuing vibrations nearby. Your Watch might record those vibrations as steps. If this is the case, please try placing it in a different place to see if the issue gets resolved.
In addition, manually logged activities or activities synced from third party apps can add steps to your account.
If the information above is not related to your case, you can perform a long restart:
You can negate the extra data by manually logging a driving activity. For instructions, please visit this article and open the menu "How do I delete steps and floors in the Fitbit app?".
Have a nice day.
