Hi, I got my Charge 3 as a present last Christmas. For the last few months it has started racking up thousands of steps when I'm not even wearing it. I've tried rebooting etc. but didn't help. Today I went for a 45 minute walk and it says I've done 35000 steps! Anyone else have this problem? Really annoying 😞

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @Lizziejt.
I'm sorry to hear that your Fitbit Charge 3 is registering too many steps. Thank you for the information provided.
The dominant wrist setting decreases the sensitivity of step counting and should reduce any over counting of steps when your body is not moving. Your dominant hand is the one you use for writing and eating. To change this setting, please go to the online Dashboard at fitbit.com > Settings > Devices > Wrist > Dominant. Please make sure to sync your Charge 3 everytime you make any change to your Fitbit account.
In addition, I would recommend performing a restart by following these steps.
If necessary, you can remove the extra data by manually adding a driving activity. For more information, please visit this article and scroll down until you see "How do I delete steps and floors in the Fitbit app?".
Please let us know if you have any question.
