Charge 3 screen is too dim

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Since Update last Month the brightest the watch gets is Dim and dim is almost a black screen I have reset watch and no change. I triple checked if it was me or not, but it is definitely the watch. I am not replacing watch as I feel that there nothing else wrong and I have only had this version for a year. Too many people seem to have same issue so it probably has to do with the last update. Please review data and changes and fix this issue.

Hi @Ksegobrown2, welcome to our Fitbit Community. I'm sorry to hear that the screen of your Charge 3 is dim, almost black. I totally understand how you feel about this and I appreciate the time spent trying to get this issue resolved before contacting our forums.

I'd like you to try a long restart. To do so on your device, follow the steps below:

  1. Connect the device to the charging cable.
  2. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds.
  3. The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration.
  4. The device turns off.
  5. The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur.
  6. Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  7. Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again.
  8. Try changing the clock face to one developed by Fitbit, not a third party clock face and see if the issue gets fixed

Keep me posted on the outcome.

I haven the same issue. Ever since the update I cannot read my watch outdoors. I have tried changing the brightness setting, changed clock faces to a different Fitbit clock, and restarting the watch. Nothing has helped.

I did above no change... I'm not a tech, but from all the people reporting same issue and timeline with the last update. My guess is this is across the board issue that needs a system upgrade to fix, since it appears it was the system upgrade that caused issue
