Charge 3 screen isn't working

This happens every day, sometimes several times a day. I can get it back by changing clock face, but the colours are reversed (black on white) and the fix only lasts from a few minutes to a few hours. Sometimes the clock face is only partially displayed, with a white patch of 'snow' on the right side of the screen. Resetting the fitbit also fixes it, but only temporarily.

While all this is going on the fitbit is still syncing to my phone.
