Charge 3 screen turns on randomly

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I just upgraded to a Charge 3 yesterday after years with an Alta. Unfortunately, ever since I set it up the screen will turn on randomly without me touching it or moving. I can be sitting perfectly still or have it sitting on the counter and it will buzz and turn on like the button is being pressed. I have turned off quick view and tried resetting several times but nothing is working. Has anyone else encountered this issue?

Welcome on board @Heisler_C, it's nice to see you here! Thanks for the time you spent trying to figure out how stop it illuminating when Screen Wake feature is off. Our team is aware of this situation and is working to identify a resolution as quickly as possible. We appreciate your patience and look forward to getting you back on track.

As a workaround, you can change the brightness of the display to low, normal or auto. From your Fitbit Tracker go to settings > brightness.

Hope this helps. If you have any other question, please let me know.

Thanks for getting back to me about my issue. Some more information about the problem is that it seems like the side button is being activated and that is turning on the screen. Occassionally when I am in the menus or using the relax app, it will go back to the main menu and buzz as if the button has been pressed.

Thanks for getting me know about this @Heisler_C! Please keep an eye on your tracker's behavior the next few days and let me know if your tracker buzzes out of the nowhere.

I'll be around!

I recently got the charge 3 for Christmas.

My phone is randomly turning on as well. Most annoying!

is there a fix in site?

My charge 3 is doing the same since yesterday. Often it just flicks on to the "screen wake" / "notifications" screen and then keeps going back there every couple of seconds. I sometimes don't have enough time to even try rebooting. It's as if the wake button is atuck or something. I've tried rebooting and even clearing user data options. Screen still turning on every couple of seconds and battery draining at an alarming speed. Please advise what I can do.

My solution was to exchange for a new one since it seemed like a defective button. My new Fitbit works fine and doesn't have this same problem so I'm assuming it was a problem with the hardware. My problem existed from the moment I first turned it on so if it used to work, you might have a different issue.

Is there a fix for this? Mine started doing this in the last month. It has the firmware update which came out a few weeks ago.

Thanks.

Good morning,

My tracker completely stopped working and Fitbit would only give a 25 %
discount due to it being 5 days outside of warranty range. So i switched to
a Garmin(not as accurate as a pedometer)
