Charge 3 setup issues

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I've been 3 hours now trying to set this thing up, I've watched the YouTube videos (kind of useless as most are an outdated version of the software and when they tell me to click on this or that, it doesn't exist).

I've done a quick reset, a hard reset (plugged into the charger), deleted it from Bluetooth... the only weather I can get is for a city that I entered, it refuses to use current location. I gather that I'll never get a notification of something until one actually comes through my iPhone 11 and populates the list I have to check on, so I sent myself multiple texts, nada on the Charge 3.

I've been getting emails, and the app did come up and I checked it, but no email notifications are coming through on the charge. Right about now I'm starting to regret my purchase, this shouldn't be rocket science to get it to work.

Help!

It's great to see you around, @Susanentwistle.

I understand how are you feeling and appreciate all the efforts in trying to fix this setup issue. I would like to know if you keep experiencing this problem? If so, I recommend taking a look at the help article: Why can't I set up my Fitbit device? and follow the instructions provided there.

Let me know how it goes. 🙂

Yes.  I do not get the weather.  I even went so far as to delete Accuweather off of my iPhone thinking that maybe that was preventing the FitBit from doing their own little Accuweather thing.  No luck--still no weather.  Keeps saying to sync with my phone.  Duh, I've done that at least 100 times since last night.
It didn't track sleep.  It doesn't track my stair climbing.  But I am getting text messages, but that's it.  No mail, no other apps are sending notifications to the FitBit.

Thanks for the update, @Susanentwistle.

To set up the Weather app:

  1. In the Fitbit app, tap the Today tab

     > your profile picture > your device image > Apps.
  2. Tap the gear icon

next to Weather. You may need to swipe up to find the app.
  3. By default, the Weather app shows your current location, which can't be deleted. Add up to 2 additional locations you want to see in the Weather app.
  4. Sync your device with the Fitbit app. It can take a few minutes to see the updated list of locations on your device.

If the weather doesn't update, check the following settings:

If you change locations, sync your device to see your new location in the Weather app.

Keep me posted. 🙂

Fitbit does not show up in location services. It is connected to Bluetooth and I followed the instructions in the link you sent. No go.
